Yes! A board & care community is licensed by the same division as large assisted living communities. We follow the guidelines provided by the California Department of Social Services though the Community Care Licensing Division.

Skilled Nursing Facility - An insurance based clinical setting with 24 hour nursing oversight and daily therapy services. The main focus typically is for short term rehabilitation. Different examples of patients may be post surgery rehab, stroke recovery, or wound treatment.

Assisted Living Community - Large, hotel-like facility that is based on a social model and typically private pay. There is a major focus on amenities and activities, as well as assistance with the Activities of Daily Living. Typical Resident-to-Caregiver ratio is anywhere between 10:1 or 20:1.

Board and Care - Smaller, home-like feel with a more intimate care setting and is based in a residential home within a neighborhood. There is a strong emphasis on customized care plans and easy accessibility to management. They are typically a maximum capacity of six residents and are private pay. The average Resident-to-Caregiver ratio is 3:1.

Each of our rooms are priced individually based on room availability and care needs. We offer a wide range of room accommodations to work with many different budgets including: private rooms, private master suites, shared master suites, and shared rooms.

No. We are an all inclusive care service and do not charge levels of care.

No. Traditional health/medical insurance does not pay for residential care communities. We can, however, work with many Long Term Care insurance policies and VA benefits.

Yes! All of our rooms come fully furnished with a bed, dresser, nightstand, chair, television, etc. If you prefer to bring your own furniture, you are more than welcome to. We also encourage you to bring family photos and decor to make the room feel like home.
