About Harbor Care Homes
Harbor Care Homes is a compilation of licensed board & care homes in South Orange County, CA. Each of our care homes have a maximum capacity of six residents. We provide around the clock supervision of the Activities of Daily Living with our highly trained staff. We pride ourselves in our 3-to-1 resident-to-caregiver ratio. Each caregiver is required to pass a health screening, background clearance, and training program. Our family owned and operated company allows us to provide attention to detail and create customized care plans for each of our residents. We have a wide variety of room accommodations to fit any budget including: private master suites, private rooms, shared master suites, and shared rooms.

Scott Messick is the co-founder and President of Harbor Care Homes. Scott began his healthcare career in the non-medical home care industry in 2015, assisting clients to receive caregiving services in their own home, as well as developing partnerships throughout the healthcare community.
His passion for entrepreneurship relates back to both his father and grandfather. In January of 1984, the Messick family began Handbill Printers, a commercial printing company located in Corona, CA. His family built the company from the ground up and has now been a successful leader in the industry for many years.
Back in 2011, Scott spent two years living in Seoul, Korea, as a self-funded volunteer for a religious organization where he fostered his love for service. During his time in Korea, he became proficient in reading, writing and speaking the Korean language.
Scott attended Brigham Young University – Hawaii and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and an emphasis in Marketing.
Scott was born and raised in Southern California. In his free time he enjoys surfing, golfing and spending time with his family. Scott and his wife have 3 beautiful girls.

Harbor Care Homes was founded by Ryan Roche and Scott Messick in December 2019. Ryan and Scott first met in 1992 and have been best friends ever since. With their extensive experience in the healthcare industry and passion for serving the elderly, they decided to form Harbor Care Homes.
Our Founders
Ryan Roche is the co-founder and CEO of Harbor Care Homes. Ryan has been an active partner in healthcare since 2015. He developed strong relationships in assisting clients receive home care, home health and hospice services. Ryan has successfully managed healthcare accounts in Orange County, CA, and ensured patients and their families were satisfied with their care.
His passion for healthcare and the senior community started when he was 14 years old as he saw his grandmother develop Alzheimer’s disease. He would often visit her at her home in Fullerton, CA, and go see her weekly as she eventually moved into an assisted living facility.
Ryan grew up in Orange County and has always had a passion for service. He lived in Argentina for two years from 2010-2012 as he served the local community and helped those in need. Ryan became proficient in reading, writing and speaking Spanish during his time in Argentina.
Ryan completed his education at Brigham Young University - Idaho with a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration.
In Ryan’s free time, he likes to exercise, run, play basketball, go to the beach, and spend time with his family. He and his wife have 2 sons.
